MIM Tea Estate

Mim is situated in the Darjeeling region in India. The name Mim is derived from “mem” a local word used for a British lady during the colonial Indian times. Post the sudden demise of the British estate manager, his wife began to manage the estate. Hence, people started referring to the estate as “Mem Kaman” which means the garden run by a “Mem”. It produces about 100 metric tons of teas annually, largely organic. They are known for their China bushes which makes for 80% of the total plantation.
